Our nationally recognised, Level 2 Exercise to Music (ETM) qualification is ideal for anyone aspiring to become a group exercise instructor. You will gain the skills and knowledge required to safely plan and teach exciting group exercise classes to a variety of participants. ETM is the base qualification needed to go on to train in concepts such as Clubbercise®, LESMILLS™ and Spinning®.
Our ETM qualification covers the following modules, through a combination of home and practical study:
Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise and Health
Principles of Exercise, Fitness and Health
Health, Safety and Welfare in a Fitness Environment
Know How to Support your Clients Who Take Part in Physical Activity
Planning and Instructing Group Exercise to Music Sessions
Developing Employability Skills as a Self Employed Professional
All of our training courses are flexible and adapt around your busy lifestyle.
Study at home and at your own pace with approx. four week’s online learning
Complete four practical course days with a professional trainer at one of our training venues.
You’ll be assessed via worksheets completed throughout the course, two multiple choice theory papers and a practical assessment.
You will need to complete/attend 100% of the course to pass
This qualification enables you to teach your own choreographed fitness classes as well as giving you a stepping stone to undertake further training in a variety of different styles/concepts. You can also widen your repertoire and client base, by completing a range of modules including Gym Instructing, Water-based Exercise and Exercise & Physical Activity for Children.
