Jo Stanier

Jo Stanier

KFA Instructor and Training Secretary

I have been involved with the Keep Fit Association for over 30 years, starting as a young teenager attending my mum’s classes and participating in dance and movement displays. Today, I am a National Trainer and Assessor, regularly evaluating students to become the next generation of Laban Dance Fitness teachers, bringing the joy of Laban movement to people and communities across the country.

I teach regular Laban Dance Fitness classes and still have many of the same participants, who I started with, which is very much in keeping with the spirit of the Keep Fit Association. I also teach a variety of dance fitness classes and have a wealth of experience across a range of styles and techniques. Laban Dance is one of the best, offering an analysis of movement that links the body to the space it moves in and the dynamics used, achieving effortless and harmonious movement.

I truly admire the talent and experience of group instructors and look forward to helping you unlock your choreographic potential. With Laban’s analysis of movement, I can help you bring purposeful, harmonious, and fun choreography to any movement class.
