Shelley Meyern Appointed COO of EMD UK to Strengthen Group Exercise Workforce and Inclusive Communities Nationwide
EMD UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Shelley Meyern as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
With over 20 years of physical activity and sports development experience, Shelley has been a key member of the EMD UK Senior Leadership team since 2019. She has taken a strategic lead for several key work strands including our system partner relationship with Sport England, This Girl Can Classes and the Together Fund. Shelley is highly respected in the field and brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as COO.
Of her appointment, Shelley said “I am delighted to continue my career at EMD UK as COO. We have some ambitious plans to support the group exercise sector, and in particular the workforce and I look forward to working with the team to realise these.”
As a system partner of Sport England, EMD UK was awarded £5m of funding to invest in group exercise over five years. The investment is a commitment to creating healthier, more inclusive communities through the power of group exercise.
