Look, we get it; starting something new, especially a career, can be super daunting. Luckily, we’ve all been there and we know what it’s like so let us take you on a group exercise journey to put your worries to bed and get you on the path to success with our training courses!

Number 1: I’m really nervous about taking the next step, but also excited!

All of our students are nervous when they book onto the course, we think that’s why our students end up becoming the best of friends – you’re all in the same situation. We’ll put your nerves at ease with our dedicated support tutors to guide you through the course from start to finish. What’s more, you can always give us a call at the office for a reassuring chat.

Number 2: I wonder what level the other students on the course will be…

You’re not the only one thinking this. Our students vary from complete newbies who have only recently started participating in classes to instructors who have been teaching classes for a few years but are now looking to further their knowledge.

Number 3: Am I too old to be changing my career?

Not at all; the students on our courses range from 18 to 70! It doesn’t matter how old you are, there’s never a better time to start something new.

Number 4: I wonder what level my participants will be when I start teaching…

Don’t worry, we all get nervous thinking about who will be in our classes, but we’ll give you the skills to adapt to a variety of participants, from complete beginners to participants who have been attending classes for years.

Number 5: I get a bit nervous visiting new places, I hope I can find the course venue OK.

We’ll provide a handy guide to each course on our summary pages, where you can find directions to the course venue, a list of hotels and places to eat. We’ve even snuck in places to have a quick shopping spree!

Number 6: What if I’m not capable of teaching? What if I’m not good enough?

Feelings of doubt are absolutely normal and we all think this from time to time, but once you’re qualified you’ll have all the skills to be an awesome instructor! Plus, we’re here to support you every step of the way, during your course and once you’ve qualified. Just give us a call.

Number 7: I’m not sure I can afford to book the course yet.

We’ve thought of that one too! We know things can be tight when starting out, that’s why you can pay for your course in monthly instalments. Not only that, we also have a training bursary that can reduce your course fees! Find out more here.

Number 8: I haven’t taken a theory exam since school and I hated them!

Our theory exams are multiple choice (arguably the most enjoyable form of exam!), so when those exam nerves kick in you’ll have something to jog your memory.

Number 9: There is so much to arrange once I’ve qualified; insurance, music licenses, routines…

Don’t worry, once you’ve qualified we’ve got your covered with our PRO instructor support package for one year. With Combined Liability Insurance up to £10m, discounts on PPL licences and variety of brands, class resources and support from our very own instructor support officer, all you need to do is plan your class.

Number 10: I work full-time and/or a full-time parent; will I be able to manage all the work?

The learning is flexible which means it can fit around your busy lifestyle. The course will include worksheets, practical tasks and theory assessments which are spread out over the duration of the course. We know life can get in the way sometimes, so if something crops up just let us know and we can make some amendments to spread the workload out.

So, there you are; did we banish some, if not all, of your worries? We’re looking forward to you making your first step in the right direction by booking one of our courses. In the meantime, take a look here for more information on what it takes to become a fabulous fitness instructor.
