From January 2026 until March 2026, instructors teaching in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can apply for 65% funding towards the cost off a CPD training course from eligible EMD UK Delivery Partners.

To apply for Home Countries Funding, instructors must meet the following criteria and provide the required information at the point of application.

1. EMD UK Pro Membership

Applicants must hold EMD UK Pro Membership.

If you are not currently a Pro Member, EMD UK Pro Membership will be provided at no cost as part of the sign-up process (a saving of £30). Applicants must agree to the membership as part of their application.

2. Short Written Statement

As part of the application form, applicants must submit a short written statement outlining one or more of the following:

  • How the CPD training will support and develop your skills, and/or
  • How the training will benefit your local community or participant groups, and/or
  • Information about your delivery area or location, including whether you work in a disadvantaged or high-need area

This information will help us prioritise applications as they are received.

3. Evidence of a Fitness Qualification

Applicants must upload evidence of a relevant fitness qualification at the point of application (for example, Level 2 or Level 3 Fitness qualifications, a 200-hour Yoga qualification, or equivalent).

4. Agreement to Follow-Up

Applicants must agree that EMD UK may follow up after the funding has been awarded to request feedback and reflection on how the funding was used, and the impact it has had on their classes and/or community.
