EMD UK and the Health Fitness Academy partner to improve access to fitness careers in the Greater Manchester area
The initiative takes 20 women from underrepresented communities across Greater Manchester and supports them through the nationally recognised Focus Awards Level 2 Group Exercise (Exercise to Music) qualification, delivered by the Health Fitness Academy ‘by women for women’, to give them the skills and training they need to support the community as group exercise instructors.
The course is being offered at only £100 for the full 12 week training (full cost normally £1,000). This has been made possible by EMD UK, the national governing body for group exercise, who is 90% funding the programme to encourage improved diversity across the group exercise community.
Fill in our form below to register your interest in taking part in the scheme and Sakina Khan, founder of the Health Fitness Academy, will be in touch.
All successful applicants will also receive a free year of EMD UK Student Membership, which provides them with cover to practice teaching whilst training to become an instructor (full price usually £55).
