The Instructor Networking Lounge

Teaching group exercise is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world, but it can also be one of the loneliest. Between back-to-back classes, travel, and admin, many of us work in “silos” without a staff room to pop into or a colleague to bounce ideas off.

This July, EMD UK is opening a virtual “staff room” for instructors across the country. The Instructor Networking Lounge is a relaxed, 55-minute networking session designed to help you step out of your silo and into a community.

Due to this being our first online networking event, we are capping attendance at 60 participants to make sure we give everyone the opportunity to network in a comfortable, intimate setting. Please click “Book online” to register your interest by the 5th July to join the list.

We are also limiting this event to only EMD UK members, but depending on the popularity and success, future events may open up to non-members. When you register your interest for the event, you are joining a queue for places. Attendees will be chosen on a first come, first served basis – providing they are EMD UK members. If you are unsuccessful for this event, you will be added to a waiting list for future networking events that we run.

Whether you want to share a recent win, discuss a new track you love, or simply meet people who “get” the reality of the studio floor, this is your space. We aren’t here to lecture; we’re here to connect, support, and celebrate the profession. No ego, no competition—just community.
