Following the announcement about the changes to our board of directors, we are running a short blog series to introduce all of our new non-executive directors to our EMD UK community.
Following the announcement about the changes to our board of directors, we are running a short blog series to introduce all of our new non-executive directors to our EMD UK community.
In this one, we introduce Alison Crowe, the Interim Joint Chief Customer Officer at Great British Racing.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Alison has worked in large, global corporations such as Reuters, Credit Suisse and Hays, as well as UK-based public and sport organisations – Channel4, the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) and currently GBR (Great British Racing).
Her background has been in Technology and Digital, and she has a track record of delivering profitable digital transformation projects and customer experiences for global audiences.
At the ECB, her remit extended to incorporate Data and Social Media, achieving balance across the spectrum of commercial results, high quality digital experiences, brand awareness and engagement. As Interim Joint Chief Customer Officer at GBR, she leads the team responsible for the marketing and promotion of horseracing in Britain.
“Having worked in the sports industry for a number of years I have seen the physical and mental health benefits of fans’ and participants’ involvement in sport. Having understood EMD UK’s brief and remit I am thrilled to be joining the team to help support their mission.”
Outside work, Alison spends significant amounts of time with her family participating in and watching sport – mainly football, cricket, tennis and athletics. As an Arsenal women season ticket holder, she’s hoping for WSL success next year.
Please join us in welcoming Alison to the EMD UK board, and keep an eye out for the other instalments in our series as we introduce more of our new non-executive directors, or read about all the appointments in our press release.
