Meet EMD UK Non-Executive Director and EDI Champion, Sarah Durnford
Following the announcement about the changes to our board of directors, we are running a short blog series to introduce all of our non-executive directors to our EMD UK community.
In this one, we introduce EMD UK Board Non-Executive Director and EDI Champion, Sarah Durnford, the Instructor Experience Development Director at Les Mills UK.
With over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, her roles have included fitness teaching, group fitness management, presenting and training fitness professionals internationally as well as creating, leading and developing award winning teams both in the UK and internationally.
She is currently leading the instructor growth, education and engagement strategy for Les Mills UK, along with building the relevant industry partnerships to support this. She is responsible for the 80+ strong Trainer / Presenter / Assessor team at Les Mills UK, enabling the outstanding delivery and development of all instructor education and training.
Sarah is passionate about creating gold standard education for group exercise instructors and ensuring fitness professionals feel supported in their careers. As an ex-trainer and fitness presenter, Sarah knows the challenges, highs and lows that instructors face.
