We are delighted to say that we are one of the sponsors of this year’s National Fitness Awards. Now in their 10th year, the awards recognise achievement and excellence in all corners of the fitness industry. We are sponsoring the Group Exercise Gym of the Year category, which last year was won by Ribby Hall Health Club, who continue to enhance their offering with over 100 group exercise classes.
Nominations are now being sought for this category (where of course we’d like to see a bumper entry) and for a whole host of other categories, such as National Gym of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Community Involvement or Member Achievement Award, so there really is something for everyone.
With group exercise a consistently popular draw for clubs, we’ll be asking to see evidence of your group exercise timetable, any specialist qualifications held by your staff and details of how you promote your classes to members and the wider community. We’ll also be looking at the variety of classes you provide, how easy you make it for people to book in to and cancel sessions, and how you are keeping up to date with any new trends in the group exercise world. Our judges will also be conducting on-site surveys to find out what customers think of your group exercise offering, as well as taking a tour of your club’s facilities to experience the levels of service first hand.
The closing date for nominations is 30 August, so get your entries in as soon as you can. The awards are open to any gyms which will have been operating for two years or more on the date of the awards which will be held at the Athena in Leicester on 29 November.
