Everyone from the Prime Minster down, realises the importance that regular exercise has on the wellbeing of the nation. In response to the current situation, Sport England have brought together industry partners to ensure the nation remains active throughout the duration of COVID-19.

Launching under the program of #StayInWorkOut, it will allow the nation to trial exercise formats that will keep them active whilst they stay indoors. Their website will be highlighting a variety of formats that people can try through video content that is currently available.

EMD UK have been working with Sport England to help identify suitable content and are proud to see one of our member organisations included in this project, Move it or Lose it, an exercise format aimed at the older participant.

#StayInWorkOut is a huge national campaign that creates the opportunity for everyone who starts doing exercise at home to become a regular active participant outside of their own four walls, once the current situation has passed. Sport England are currently taking submissions from organisations and instructors who have a library of video content already available via a video streaming platform (e.g. YouTube channel). If you have any online content that meets the above criteria and you would like Sport England to consider including on #StayInWorkOut, please email faye@emduk.org. We also ask that when submitting your content that you also include your relevant certification and insurance.  Please note: not all content will be accepted. We will not be able to get back to everyone.

As the largest directory of group exercise classes in the UK, www.classfinder.org.uk will help you get your business back on track once we are all allowed to have free movement again. classfinder is free for you to list all your classes, so make sure these new interested participants can find you so they can continue doing the exercise formats that they loved doing in the living room.
