There are currently no formal qualifications specifically for safeguarding children in sport. However, a number of organisations have developed courses to help you and your team to keep children safe. Whether you’re a beginner or a specialist, we can point you in the right direction.
As the UK’s leading child protection charity, NSPCC understands the child protection issues that organisations and people working with children can face. They have a range of elearning and face-to-face safeguarding training courses for anyone working or volunteering with children and young people.
This workshop will raise your awareness of the tell-tale signs of abuse, and give you the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively, appropriately and effectively should the need ever arise in your coaching career.
